Wendi Storhoff has been teaching in the St. Paul School District for thirteen wonderful years. She is licensed in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language for kindergarten through grade twelve. She received her BA from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Wendi earned her ESL licensure from Hamline University in St. Paul.
Outside of school, she enjoys traveling. At last count, she had visited 32 of the 50 states. One of her favorites is Vermont for its New England charm and covered bridges. Internationally, Ms. Storhoff has traveled to Norway, Denmark, Spain, Canada, and the Bahamas. Some of her travels have taken her to college arenas in Tennessee and other states to watch women's college basketball games. Closer to home she enjoys taking walks with her miniature apricot poodle, Sully.
Wendi has lived in Minnesota most of her life. Several years ago, she lived in Norway for a year. There, she savored great food, the fresh outdoor air, meeting relatives, and riding trains and boats viewing spectacular moutains, waterfalls, and fjords. Ms. Storhoff learned to cross country ski on a bluff in Norway where she might see a moose along the path. She makes her home in the Twin Cities with her partner.
Ms. Storhoff is proud to work at John A. Johnson with its closely-knit community and she values the relationships with students and staff. She particularly enjoys making home visits to the students’ families in order to get to know them better and support the students in doing their best.
