With more than 20 years of experience, Principal Lisa Gruenewald has served as a Special Education teacher and developed, taught and managed K-8 after-school and early childhood education programs. She first began working with Saint Paul Public Schools in 2004, most recently serving as Assistant Director for the Office of Early Learning.

Saint Paul Public Schools is teaming up with the city of Saint Paul and Ramsey County to reinforce the message that school attendance — and missing classes — can impact a student's learning.

Lisa Gruenewald is the new principal for John A. Johnson Achievement Plus this year.

This March-April educators will survey students about their school experience. The surveys are being conducted through Teacher Development and Evaluation--a collaboration between SPPS and the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers.
